The Libertines were forced to halt their comeback gig at the British Summertime twice tonight after a huge crowd crush.

The band, now comprising Pete Doherty and Carl Barat, made their comeback gig, but they have had to halt the set after crowd members began forcing their way forward, according to fans on Twitter.

Security ran on stage during the bands Boys In A Band performance, in an attempt to stop the audience crushing fans into the barriers at the front.

One Twitter user wrote: “Crazy scenes in Hyde park. Crowd problems forcing Libertines to stop playing. Poor security. Crushing at front. Hundreds pulled out.” Source:  Daily Mirror (UK)
